El estudio de estos objetos llevó a la conclusión de que el Valle de Tibes fue ha­bitado por las culturas precolombinas igneri y taína. En el Centro Ceremonial Indígena Tibes, se ex­hibe parte de las 130 osamentas descubiertas, pertenecientes a la cultura igneri. De la cultura taína se exhiben amuletos, ce­rámicas y objetos de piedra como aros. Los taínos utilizaban caracoles para la fabricación de utensilios de uso personal, como: hachas, cucharas, pulseras, cinceles y amuletos. Las plazas ceremoniales y los bateyes fueron también obra de los taínos. El Centro Ceremonial Indígena Tibes es uno de los poblados más antiguos de Puerto Rico; uno de los princi­pales centros ceremoniales en Las Antillas y un jardín botánico natural en el que aún se apre­cian numerosas plantas y árboles, cuya repro­ducción data del tiempo de nuestros ancestros indígenas. The study of these objects led to the conclusion that Tibes Valley was inhabited by the igneri and taíno, pre-Columbian cultures. The Tibes Indigenous Ceremonial Center, displays some of the 130 bones discovered, belonging to the igneri culture. From the taíno culture, amulets, pottery and stone objects looking like rings are shown. The taínos used snails for the manufacture of utensils for personal use, such as axes, spoons, bracelets, chisels and amulets. The ceremonial plazas and bateyes were also the work of the taíno culture. Tibes Indigenous Ceremonial Center is one of the oldest towns of Puerto Rico; one of the main ceremonial centers in the West Indies and a natural botanical garden where we can still appreciate many plants and trees whose reproduction data belongs to the times of our indigenous ancestors.
