ZamoŇõńá PARQUE PASIVO JULIO ENRIQUE MONAGAS Parque de recreaci√≥n pasiva, que honra la memoria del dominicano Julio Enrique Monagas, quien fue el precursor del deporte en Puerto Rico y quien promovi√≥ el ingreso de la Isla en el Comit√© Ol√≠mpico Internacional en 1948. Fue esta importante figura del deporte nacional quien acu√Īo la frase ‚ÄúEl Deporte nos Hace Naci√≥n‚ÄĚ. Este parque construido en 1994 est√° localizado en los m√°rgenes de la canalizaci√≥n de los r√≠os Portugu√©s y Bucan√°. Sus facilidades incluye: 18 kioscos, canchas para jugar voleibol, √°rea recreativa para ni√Īos, dispensario de primeros auxilios y lago con animales de diversas especies. Ubicaci√≥n: Carr. It was this important national sports figure who coined the phrase "Sports Makes Us a Nation". This park was built in 1994, it is located on the banks of the rivers Portuguese and Bucan√°.
