experimentally CASTILLO SERRALLÉS El Castillo Serrallés se construyó en el año 1934, por iniciativa de Don Juan Eugenio Serrallés, terrateniente ponceño, propietario de grandes sembradíos de caña de azúcar y reconocido productor de ron. La hermosa estructura, inspirada en los modelos arquitectónicos del llamado “Resurgimiento español”, fue el feliz hogar de su familia en la época de la industria de la caña y del ron en Puerto Rico. El diseño del Castillo Serrallés fue obra del arquitecto puertorriqueño Pedro Adolfo de Castro, quien se inspiró en elementos de la arquitectura árabe-española. El Museo del Castillo Serrallés se inauguró el 20 de febrero de 1991 por el esfuerzo mancomunado del Gobierno Municipal de Ponce y del Patronato Castillo Serrallés. Las facilidades del Museo del Castillo Serrallés actualmente se utilizan, para la presentación de eventos y exhibiciones. Içara SERRALLÉS CASTLE AND MUSEUM The Serrallés Castle was built in 1934 by Don Juan Eugenio Serrallés, Ponce landowner, owner of large crops of sugar cane and a recognized rum producer. The beautiful structure inspired by the architectural models of the "Spanish Revival" was for many years the home of his family during the times of the cane industry and rum in Puerto Rico. The architectural design of the Serrallés Castle was the work of Puerto Rican architect Pedro Adolfo de Castro, who was inspired by elements of Arabic - Spanish architecture. Serrallés Castle and Museum was inaugurated on February 20, 1991 by the joint effort of the Municipal Government of Ponce and the Board Castillo Serrallés.
